These earrings have been pressed with real oak leaves, picking up the leaf texture, before being enameled. The enamel is a powdered glass that is sprinkled on the copper and then fired in a kiln. The copper heats up, the glass melts and coats the metal, and they fuse together. The backside of these are covered in a black enamel.
