Tiered Meteorite & Melted Silver Pendant
Featuring an authentic piece of Meteorite Fragment (details below) tiered with a smaller piece of melted, water-cast silver. Watercasting is the process of melting silver to a liquid state and pouring into water. The silver solidifies as it moves through the water creating truly unique, unrepeatable shapes. I love how this silver piece paired with this meteorite fragment. Back plates are deeply oxidized to partner with the Meteorite.
This Meteorite Fragment is from Campo del Cielo, Argentina. It was first discovered in 1571 and is thought to have fallen 4000-6000 years ago. It is mostly iron with some other minor elements. Meteorite is best cared for by limiting moisture exposure and avoiding all chemicals.
Sterling Silver except .999 Fine Silver around meteorite
Pendant is 7/8" across at top, 5/8" across at bottom, hangs about 2" long - 20" Oxidized Box Chain
